HP Connected Account

Sign up with hp connected account, if you are using a printer that supports web services. HP instant ink delivery services, ePrint cloud print, and HP Printer Apps. Check whether your country or region supports HP connected by visiting hpconnected.com. Select your country or region from the drop-down option. Then read the instructions to add the HP printer to HP connected.
The website might contain the printer account if already registered with HP Connected. Then directly visit hpconnected.com login to sign into your account. Next, click on the My Printers tab. Have a glance at the below steps for HP connected account:

What do you need?

Examine whether the HP printer is properly connected with an active internet connection. The HP printer must also support web-connected printing services. You should also meet the requirements to use HP connected account.

Visit hpconnected.com to check whether your country or region is actively supported. Your country or region will not appear on the drop-down list if the hpconnect is not available.

Ensure whether the HP printer and computer are on the same wireless network. The wireless network should be stable and active.

Web services

Switch on the Web services in your HP printer. This allows you to communicate printing services. This includes HP ePrint, HP instant ink and HP Printer Apps over active internet. You need to periodically update the firmware for web-connected printing services.

HP Printer Claim Code

The Printer claim code is necessary to add the HP printer to HP connected. Get your Printer claim code by printing the Web Services Information page. Once you obtain the code it is valid for 24 hours. If you require a new Printer claim code, then repeat the steps to get the new Printer claim code. After obtaining the Printer claim code, follow the below steps:

  • If you see a string of letters and numbers on the information page, then it is hp printer account claim code.
  • If you get the email on the information page. Then the characters before the domain name are the printer claim code.
  • Check if you get the HP ePrint email address on the information page. This means the HP connected account is already created. The HP printer is previously added to the hpconnected.
Adding your HP printer to HP connected

Go to hpconnected.com to sign up hpconnect for a new account. If you have already had an account, then use an hp connected login to open the existing account.

Next, find the ADD button from the My Printers tab. Then enter the printer claim code that you have obtained from the information page. Finally, click on the OK button. Note that you might receive the Invalid Code message if you did not type the printer claim code properly.

If you wish to get a customized email address, then type the customized email address. Finally, click on the save button. The customized email address will be very easy to remember.

You have to validate your newly created hp connected account. This can be easily done by opening the email which is readily sent to your email account. This email is actively sent by the hp connect server. Complete the account verification by following the instruction on the mail. If there is no email sent to the inbox, then check the spam folder.

Web-Connected Setup

After adding your HP printer, set up the web-connected printing services. This might include HP ePrint, HP Print Apps and HP Instant Ink Service.

Sign in your hpconnected.com account and modify the settings. Reduce the chances of unwanted printouts by using the Allow Senders only features. This will limit the email address.
